Barry Savenor passed up the family’s gourmet food store, made famous by the French chef Julia Child, to pursue his own muse. At age 14 he got backstage at a Rolling Stones concert, and his ability to get in anywhere as if he belonged there led to “Who’s That With Barry”, a series of hundreds of Polaroids he shot of himself posed with celebrities. He died on May 5, 2004 from lung cancer.
